Sr. Engineer – Electrical & Electronics Design and Integration

Job Description
- Responsible for design & vehicle level electrical integration of the following listed Electrical & Electronics aggregates /systems for Passenger Vans, Utility Vehicles & SUVs :
i) Instrument Cluster ii) Switches iii) Infotainment System, Radios, Navigation, Speakers & Antennas iv) HVAC E&E system v) Engine Management ECU/ Automatic Transmission ECU & its sensors vi) Active safety system like ABS system & its sensors and Passive Safety Systems like Air Bags and it’s sensors vii) Wiring Harness - Responsible for defining technical specifications of E&E aggregates/systems.
- Responsible for packaging of E&E aggregates & preparing drawings in CATIA V5.
- Supporting Team Leader in executing development plan as per R&D process
- Dealing with different suppliers and internal agencies to ensure timely delivery.
- Interaction with suppliers for E&E aggregates development & testing.
- Dealing with different third party test agencies for Vehicle /sub system /aggregate prototype tests.
Technical Requirements
- Knowledge of automotive Electrical & Electronics systems of Passenger Vans, Utility Vehicles & SUVs – Functional, design aspects, Application & integration. Understanding of the functional and physical interactions between vehicle sub-systems.
- Experience in automotive design and development of minimum two or more of the following Electrical & Electronics aggregates & systems:
i) Instrument Cluster ii) Switches iii) Infotainment System, Radios, Navigation, Speakers & Antennas iv) HVAC E&E system v) Engine Management ECU/ Automatic Transmission ECU & its sensors vi) Active safety system like ABS system & its sensors and Passive Safety Systems like Air Bags and it’s sensors vii) Wiring Harness - Knowledge & exposure to various manufacturing Processes related to E&E aggregates.
- Experience in modelling & drafting software like CATIA V5 will be preferred.
- Knowledge of all legislative national standards (CMVR/ AIS) and International regulatory
Standards (EEC, ECE, GB etc.) - Good knowledge of DFMEA/DFM/DFS process
- Good knowledge of preparing BOM and cost aspect.
