Global Associations
In 2015, BMW assigned Force Motors to produce and test the engines for all sedans and SUVs to be made in India. A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Chennai was then built and commissioned in a record time of nine months, meeting the exact standards of BMW.
In March 2018, Force Motors entered into a joint-venture agreement with Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG. This venture named ‘Force MTU Power Systems Pvt. Ltd.’ manufactures the 10 and 12 cylinder, Series 1600 engines (545hp to 1050hp) in India and supplies worldwide. These engines are used for power generation and under-floor rail applications and have been delivered to reputed organizations requiring fail safe backup for their critical operations.

Force MTU Power Systems Private Limited, a joint venture between Force Motors Limited (51%) and Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG (49%), focuses on producing the MTU Series 1600 engines. These engines available in 10 and 12-cylinder configurations with outputs ranging from 545 to 1,050 hp, cater to power generation and underfloor rail applications.
By combining Rolls-Royce’s advanced engineering with Force Motors’ production expertise as well as leveraging its vast supplier network in India, the joint venture delivers dependable engines tailored to the needs of both domestic and international markets.
